Ideal Act Plays His Part!

The Dean Kannemeyer Racing Syndicate look to have another smart galloper in the handsome gelding Ideal Act to carry the flag of one of South Africa’s most successful owner syndicates.

At a sunny Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Wednesday, Keagan de Melo partnered the Gary Player Stud-bred 3yo to a facile maiden victory at just his fourth outing.

Starting a 2-1 favourite, Kannemeyer stable jockey Keagan de Melo had Ideal Act tracking the pacemaker after getting across from his potentially awkward 8 draw.

Into the Capital City home straight De Melo gave the gelding more rein and sitting dead still, the talented rider had time to glance back through how own legs as the son of Ideal World extended his hold to win unextended by 86,3 secs.

Form Bloodstock signed the chit for Ideal Act at the 2020 BSA National 2yo Sale.

“He was a goodlooking, scopy well balanced youngster and was a popular horse at the sale. Ideal World throws top horses and Gary Player has bred top athletes for decades. I am thrilled for the DKR Syndicate and it’s very satisfying when a horse continues to show an upward graph of form and produces it on the track,” said Dean.
